Jay Import Co. Inc. Marquetry Wood Jewelry Box with Fitted Interior - A rectangular wooden jewelry box produced for Jay Import Co. Inc. and manufactured in Taiwan. The lid features a decorative marquetry panel composed of book-matched geometric inlaid wood veneers. The body of the box is constructed with contoured, molded sides and joined with a brass-tone piano hinge. The interior is fully lined in an orange velvet-textured fabric. The underside of the lid is fitted with an elasticized gathered pocket and three attached drawstring pouches with cord closures. The interior contains a removable wooden tray divided into sixteen small square compartments and five ring rolls. Additional larger storage sections are located beneath the removable tray. The underside of the base bears a gold-tone foil label with the manufacturer logo and text reading Quality Products, Designed for Jay, Jay Import Co. Inc., MADE IN TAIWAN.
