Peter Hutch Codd Painted Wood Pintail Hen Duck Decoy Maryland 1981 - A hand-carved and painted wooden pintail hen duck decoy produced by Peter Hutch Codd of Hutch Decoy Carving, Ltd. The decoy features detailed, textured paintwork simulating layered plumage in varied shades of brown, tan, and cream, complemented by a slate-gray bill and dark inset eyes. The flat, natural wood underside displays a circular maker brand that reads HUTCH DECOY CARVING, LTD., FOUNDED 1974, copyright 1980, MARYLAND. The underside is also hand-inscribed in ink with Pintail hen and signed in cursive Hutch with the date 1981. Length: 15 inches.
