Drake Cinnamon Teal Wood Duck Decoy by Lawrence Bodt - A vintage hand-carved and painted wooden duck decoy by Lawrence Bodt, depicting a drake Cinnamon Teal (Spatula cyanoptera). The decoy features a two-piece construction with a separate head joined at the neck and is fitted with red glass eyes. The body and head are finished in a dark reddish-brown with a characteristic stippled or oxidized texture. The wing speculum is detailed with painted sections of light blue, white, and dark green. The underside of the wooden base is stamped with two rig marks or maker marks; the top line reads L BODT and the bottom line reads BODT. The base is equipped with a center-mounted lead strip weight secured by two nails and a metal ring eyelet at the front for a tether line. Length: 11.5 inches Height: 5 inches.
