Two Hand Carved and Painted Wooden Hen Duck Decoys Including a Hutch Decoy Carving Ltd. Example - A collection of two decorative hand-carved and painted wooden hen duck decoys. The larger specimen is a Canvasback hen featuring realistic feather painting in shades of brown, gray, and white with a black bill. The underside of the flat wooden base features a circular burnt-in stamp for Hutch Decoy Carving, Ltd. of Maryland, founded in 1974. The base is also hand-inscribed in pencil with the species name and Hutch 1983. The smaller specimen represents a hen puddle duck, such as a mallard, distinguished by a painted blue speculum on the wing. The underside of the base is hand-inscribed in black ink with the initials P.A.W. and the date 4/88. Both figures are designed with flat bases for shelf display. Larger Decoy: 8 inches (L) x 3.5 inches (H) Smaller Decoy: 4.25 inches (L) x 2.25 inches (H).
