Southeast Asian Steel Dagger with Wooden Hilt and Scabbard - A hand-forged steel short sword or large dagger originating from Southeast Asia, likely of Philippine or Indonesian origin. The weapon features a straight, double-edged steel blade that tapers to a point and widens toward the hilt. The base of the blade, or ricasso, is embellished with decorative hand-cut notches. The hilt is constructed of dark-stained wood in a curved pistol-grip style and is secured with a blackened metal ferrule at the throat. The accompanying scabbard is of simple two-piece wooden construction, tapered to match the form of the blade. Total length in scabbard: 12.75 inches Blade length: 8 inches Hilt length: 4.75 inches.
