Kleilat Pottery Large Oval Serving Platter with Lace Impressions and Applied Roses - This is a large studio pottery serving platter produced by Kleilat Pottery. The oval earthenware form is finished in a cream-colored glaze with a weathered, antiqued aesthetic. The interior surface is decorated with dark brown lace-pattern impressions. The rim is embellished with twenty-one applied, three-dimensional red rose sprigs spaced evenly around the perimeter. The reverse features a large circular lace-impressed medallion and an incised stylized capital letter K mark. An accompanying paper label is handwritten in red ink and identifies the maker as Kleilat Pottery. A black wire wall hanger is currently attached to the back. Length: 17 inches.
