Letter from the community leaders of Prostějov, to please confirm the appointment of Rabbi Nachum Treibitch of Prague as Rav of their community. Prostějov 1825. And the response of the higher office of Olomouc.
Request from the community leaders to legally approve the appointment of Rabbi Nachum Treibitch as Rav of Prostějov in Moravia (Mehren), and approval from the authorities. Prostějov, Olomouc 1825.

The letters interpreted in English:
* To the main office of Olomouc, The leaders of the community of Prostějov, in the name of the whole community requests authorization to accept Rabbi Nachum Treibitch of Prague to serve as Rav in Prostějov.
* [Subject:] Proposal of Rabbi Nachum Treibitch of Prague as Rav in Prostějov. [recommended] by the Chief Rabbi Marcos Benedikt was submitted on the 28th of February 1824 no. 2630 [to appoint him] as Rav in Prostějov. The authorities have no objection to his acceptance, and so he will receive the authorization to live in Prostějov with no objection according to the law. But, the Jewish court must report quickly the wages that were presented to the Rav, to be able to obtain approval from the high state authorities. The main office of Olomouc, 17th November 1825.
Rabbi Nachum son of R' Zelig Treibitch (1779-1842). Born in Prague and learned in the local Beit Medrash. Was a revered disciple of the Rav of Prague, Rabbi Yaakov Ginzberg, who gave him his manuscripts and appointed him to replace him as Rosh Yeshiva in the city. After his Rabbi's passing Rabbi Nachum prepared his Rabbi's manuscripts to print and published them in the sefer 'Zera Yaakov'. From the year 1826 he served as Rav in the city of Prostějov. In the year 1831 he replaced Rabbi Mordechai Banet as Chief Rabbi of Moravia and moved to Nikolsburg. Authored 'Shealot Uteshuvot' (Questions and Answers) and a commentary 'Shalom Yerushalayim' on Talmud Yerushalmi.
