Kinyan HaChaim, (buying life) about repentance and prayers, authored by the holy Reitz of Lubavitch (Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson) during the time he lived in Latvia. First edition, Riga 1928.
Kinyan HaChaim, (buying life) article authored by the holy Reitz of Lubavitch ( Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson) about prayers and repentance during the time he lived in Latvia. First edition, Riga 1928.

With the Communist Revolution in Russia the authorities started restricting the conducts of the religious Jews. The Rebbe HaReitz of Lubavitch who did not fear anyone set up a secret network of Talmud Torah's and Yeshivo's. Because of his deeds he was arrested and suffered much spiritually and physical persecution. With much exertion Mordechai Dubin the Parliament member of Latvia presented the Latvia Government the renewal of the trade contract with Russia for his release.
After his release the Rebbe HaReitz settled in the area of Moscow but fearing continued harassment he moved to Latvia. During the time he lived there he authored this composition and sent to his Chassidim to strengthen the Jewish hearts towards G-d and his Torah. Before us here is an fascinating item from the beginning days of his leadership.
