Manuscript from the sefer 'Yavin Shemu'ah', authored by Rabbi Elazar Löw, author of the sefer 'Shemen Rokeach'. [Ronsberg, Ca. 1813] - Approx. a quarter of the manuscript that was used for preparing the sefer 'Yavin Shemu'ah' for printing. The sefer was authored by the Gaon Rabbi Elazar Löw, author of 'Shemen Rokeach'. Possibly, the manuscript before us was written by his son. [Ronsberg, early 19th century]. [39] pages, 18X24 cm. paragraphs 1-46, [59]0198, [216-218]. Fine quill script. At the beginning of the first page, is the title 'Yavin Shemu'ah'. On the sides of the pages, numbering of the chapters, in squared script.  The Gaon Rabbi Elazar ben Rabbi Aryeh Leib Löw (1758-1837), author of the Shu”t 'Shemen Rokeach' and additional sefarim. In 1775, when he was 17, he was appointed Rabbi and Abd of the Vidislev community and in 1778 was appointed the Rabbi of Filtz near Krakow.  In ca. 1798 he was appointed Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva in Tritsh, Moravia and since 1813 was the Rabbi of Rashenberg, Polsen and Galato in Bohamia. In 1815, he returned to Tritsh; in 1821, was the Rabbi of Mimiklash, Hungary and in 1830 the Rabbi of Abai-Santov.   The sefer  ”Yavin Shemu'ah” -by the author of Shemen Roke'ach, which was published for the first time in Prague in 1814. The introduction to the sefer was written by its author when he was the Rabbi of Rashenberg and in it he explains that the sefer contains commentaries and elucidations on the Sages' Ma'amarim and is arranged according to Seder HaParshiot for the Jewish people who are preoccupied with making a living during the days of the week and are thirsty for Divrei Torah on Sabbath and Jewish holidays. Consequently, the style of the sefer is adjusted to such readership, as the author wrote: ”I did not want in this composition but to awaken the spirits craving to understand the Sages' Ma'amarim and I have shortened where possible and in easy language so that any man could understand this sefer of mine, without needing to open another since he will find that everything is explained”. No binding, damaged spine and almost completely lacking, pages and groups of pages detached, stains, wear and blemishes with damage to text in the corners of the pages. fair-good condition.
