Royal treasure! 'Darkei Noam'. Venice, 1697, which had belonged to the Holy Morom Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov. - Sefer 'Darkei Noam' on Arba'ah Turim, by the renowned Gaon Rabbi Mordechai Halevi, Venice - 1697. Includes sketches and maps of the Temple. At the end, a compilation on the days of Milah by the author's son Rabbi Avraham Halevi. Venice - 1698. A holy unique copy which Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Deutsch of Safed, the son of the Gaon the 'Nefesh David' Rabbi Nathan David Deutsch, the Rabbi of Kretshnif, had sent to his Rabbi the Holy Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov, when he began leading the community of Chortkov after the passing of his father  Morom David Moshe of Chortkov. Written on the sefer are the names of members of his entire family, as a Kvitel with requests for salvation in all areas. 'The young Yitzchak Isaac Deutsch the son of the Rabbi of Kretshnif of Safed sends this sefer as gift to the Holy Rabbi Yisrael Shalita”. In the copy there are also many signatures of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Sethon the Rabbi of Safed, from which Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac had purchased the sefer. In the sefer there is also a comment handwritten by Rabbi Chaim Sethon. Inaddition, additional ownership stamps in Solitero script. Background:  The Chassid Rabbi Aharon Yaakov Yitzchak Isaac Deutsch the son of the Rabbi of Kretshnif Rabbi Nathan David, was born in 1854 and immigrated to the land of Israel in ca. 1879. He was the grandson of the Holy Rabbi Moshe David Ashkenazi Gabd of Taltshva, the son-in-law of the son-in-law of the Holy Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Heller Rabbi of Safed. He was one of the most important Chassidim in the Holy Land and one of the greatest Chortkov Chassidim. In ca. 1900 he travelled to his rabbi abroad and brought with him two sefarim on which he wrote 'Azkarot' and 'Bakashot', to present to the Holy Rabbi Yisrael. Before us is a third sefer which he sent from the Holy Land to his Holy Rabbi - after he became leader of the community during the years 1904 until his passing in 1909. He was laid to rest in Tiberius. The Gaon Sage Rabbi Chaim Sethon the Rabbi of Safed [[1871-1918] his father, Rabbi Menashe of the Sages of Aleppo immigrated to Safed and served as Rabd. Rabbi Chaim served for several years as the Chief Rabbi of Safed and its Beit Din; yet retired from the position to print his sefer 'Eretz HeChaim' on the customs of the Land of Israel.  2-282, 1-41, [1] pages. 30 cm.
