The personal copy of the renowned Gaon Rabbi Shimon Halevi Segal, the son of the renowned Gaon Yehoshua Halevi Segal Fogelman, Domatz of Lisa, the Rabbi of Samtor, who was the father- in-law of the Gaon Rabbi Akiva Eiger. Rabbi Shimon served as Abd of Ragazen and Farden and authored the sefer 'Chidushei Rabbeinu Shimon Halevi' and 'Sha'ar Shimon'. He discoursed with all the greatest Rabbanim of his generation, especially his son-in-law Rabbi Akiva Eiger and the Chemdas Shlomo, Rabbi Yaakov of Lisa. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Meshulam Zalmen Ashkenazi the Rabbi of Lublin. On the title page, many signatures by the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Halevi Segal and his dedication to a Bar Mitzvah boy, to whom he gave the sefer. On the flyleaf, a stamp of the Tzaddik Admor Rabbi Avraham Eiger of Lublin- Bnei Berak , the grandson of Rabbi Akiva Eiger and his son Rabbi Shlomo Eiger, the successor of the 'Lublin' dynasty in the Holy land, one of the most important Tzaddikim of his generation, who lovingly and modestly responded to the many who were drawn to him.
