Midrash Tanchuma. Frankfurt an der Oder, [1701].

Midrash Tanchuma called Yelamdeinu, on Chamisha Chumshei Torah, with an addition of references and the meaning of the words. Michl Gottshelk Press, Frankfurt an der Oder, [1701].

[1], 89 leaves, 30 cm. With approbations by Rabbi Naftali Hacohen Av Beis Din and Ran of Posnan and Rabbi Shemaya Av Beis Din and Ram of Berlin. "The printers' apology" constitutes a fascinating historical document explaining the need for a reprinting of the Midrash as a result of persecutions against the Jews of Poland, Ashkenaz and other countries, which caused "most of the Seforim and Midrashim to be burnt and trampled".

Stains, moth damage, the last leaf is detached with tears and blemishes to the perimeter of the leaf affecting the text, some of the letters noting the sources were cut in the bounding process, fair-good condition.
