Elegant copy of Maran the Gaon the Shav Yaakov of Frankfurt! Tractate Nidah of the Babylonian Talmud. with Mishnayos Tehoros with a separate title page. Frankfurt am Main, 1720. Johann Kelner Press. 


On the title page, an ownership notation of the great Gaon author of Shut Shav Yaakov Rabbeinu Yaakov Poppers, Av Beis Din and Ram of Frankfurt am Main. 

In addition, many ownership notations of his grandson the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Cohen, the son of his son the Gaon Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf. 


The copy is placed in the original, elegant leather binding, with copper buckles. 


The renowned Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Poppers author of Shav Yaakov [passed away in 1742] Dayan in Prague, the Rav of Kovlantz and eventually the Rav of Frankfurt am Main and its Av Beis Din. His disciples were Gedolei Hador including Rabbi Yosef Steinhart, Rabbi Naftali Zvi Katznelboigen, Rabbi David Tevel, the Sifrei Tahara. His great composition Shav Yaakov is one of the most important halachic Seforim. His successor as Rav of Frankfurt was the author of the Pnei Yehoshua.
