Two volumes of Sefer Chovos HaLevavos with the Lev Tov elucidation. The personal copy of Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wosner author of Sheves Halevi, Gaon Av Beis Din of Zichron Meir and Rosh Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin, from which he studied Mussar.
Each volume is stamped with his personal stamp 'Shmuel Halevi Wosner the Av Beis Din and Ram of Yeshivas Chachmei Lublin - Zichron Meir'.
Some handwritten notations, apparently by one of his Geonim and Tzaddikim sons.
Some pencil markings and varied emphases. Many signs of use and fold marks.
The Lev Tov elucidation is an elucidation in simple and easy language written by the Gaon Rav Rabbi Pinchs Liberman of Jerusalem. Maran Rabbi Wosner was one of Gedolei Hador who enthusiastically approbated this elucidation.
In his wonderful approbation, Maran the author of Sheves Halevi wrote about the importance of Sefer Chovos HaLevavos and its study, in the name of his leading Rav and teacher, the Gaon of Lublin Rabbi Meir Shapiro, who stated that his grandfather the holy Rav Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz studied this Sefer more than a thousand times, and only then merited what he had merited.
It is also known that Maran Rabbi Wosner delivered daily lessons on Sifrei Mussar including Sefer Chovos HaLevavos.
