Four pages of responses and Psak Halacha handwritten by the holy Rav Rabbi Yochanan Sofer Gaon Av Beis Din of Erlau, which was sent to the holy Rav Rabbi David Sperber of Brashov, on the sanctity of the synagogue, immediately after the war. ca. 1946.

Halachic responsum written by the holy Rav Rabbi Yochanan Sofer Gaon Av Beis Din of Erlau and sent to the holy Gaon Rabbi David Sperber of Brashov author of Shut 'Afarkesta DeAnya' and a member of Mo'etzes Gedolei haTorah.

The responsum indicates the mood following the terrible Holocaust, the deliberations and hardships alongside the attempts to restore the Torah world, religious and Kashrus.

In his response, the Gaon Av Beis Din of Erlau discusses the question of whether it is appropriate to let the Shoches reside in the ruins of a synagogue if by doing so, the number of people who eat Kosher meat will increase.

He also discusses the establishment of a Mikveh on the premises and whether all these matter are not 'lowering from Kedusha Chamura to Kedusha Kala'.

The sharp, knowledgeable responsum includes references to all parts of the Torah, although he barely had Sifrei Shut before him.

Gaon Av Beis Din of Erlau uses important titles to address the Gaon Av Beis Din of Brashov, who was a famed Posek even before the world war.
