Pedigreed copy of Sefer Chidushei Chasam Sofer, innovations on the Sugyos of the Shas by Maran the Chasam Sofer. Munkatch, 1901, with the handwritten signature of the holy Rav the Atzei Chaim of Siget and his holy sons the Barech Moshe of Satmar and the Tzaddik Rav Rabbi Meshulam Zusha. 


Sefer Chidushei Chasam Sofer, which was published for the first time in Munkatch by the printery of the bookshop of the rabbinic Naggid Meir Yechiel Feldinger in 1901. 

On the flyleaf, the pure handwritten signature of Maran the renowned holy Rav Rabbi Chaim Zvi Teitelbaum, author of the Atzei Chaim and the Rav of Siget

The copy was inherited by his son, the holy Rav Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum Av Beis Din of Siget and eventually the successor of Maran the holy Rav the Mahari Tov of Satmar, and his signature appears several times in the Sefer.

On the title page, the signature of another son of the Atzei Chaim, 'Meshulam Zusha Teitelbaum of Siget', who perished in the Holocaust. 

In addition, an ownership notation attributing it to the Atzei Chaim 'This Sefer belongs to the Admor the holy Gaon the famed Tzaddik ... Chaim Zvi Teitelbaum Shalita Av Beis Din of Siget'. The pencil notation seems to have been handwritten by one of the sons. 

In addition, a repetitive ownership notation: Avraham Shtebler [?]. A later stamp of Michael Amsel of Tisa. Many notations in a foreign language. 


The holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Zvi Teitelbaum, author of the Atzei Chaim [1880-1926] one of the greatest Tzaddikim of his generation. The son of the holy Rav the "Kedushas Yom Tov" and his successor the son-in-law of the holy Rav Rabbi Sholom Eliezer Ratzfert. A leading disciple of the Tzaddikim of the generation, Maranan the holy Rav of Shinava, the holy Rav of Gorlitz and the holy Rav the Mahari of Belz. The older brother and leading Rav of Maran the Mahari Tov of Satmar. 


The holy Rav the Barech Moshe of Satmar [1915-2006] the son of the Atzei Chaim, Gaon Av Beis Din and Ram of Zenta, Siget and eventually his uncle's successor as the Admor of Satmar. In his youth was known as a great Talmid Chacham. After the war, where he lost his first wife and children, he continued to serve as the Rav of Siget, bringing the remnants of the community back to life. He moved to the USA, standing beside his uncle the holy Rav of Satmar. After his passing, the community appointed him their Rav and leader. In his days, the Satmar Chassidus reached unprecedented peaks. His sons are the holy Rav Rabbi Aharon of Satmar and the holy Rav Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda of Satmar. 


[2], 64 leaves. 32 cm. Minor stains. Wear to the title page. dark leaves. The flyleaf is slightly restored. Re-bound in a partly leather binding. Placed in a fine, elegant leather case. Very good condition.
