The Great (One’s) Shofar! the Holy Shofar Belonging to Maran, Tzaddik Yesod Olam the Holy ‘Me’or Einayim’ of Chernobyl, His Son, the Holy Maggid, and Their Descendants - “When the sound of the Shofar is heard – all the Gevuros become mitigated”. The Shofar of the Kohen Gadol, Tzaddik Yesod Olam, Maran the holy Rebbe, from the great shepherds of Chassidus and Tzaddikim of the generations, Rabbi Menachem Nochum of Chernobyl, author of “Me’or Einayim”, which was also blown by his son, the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Mordechai, the Maggid of Chernobyl, and which was passed down generation after generation to his descendants who kept and used this holy Shofar. This elegant Shofar was most recently held by the Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak of Skwere – Tel Aviv, and was inherited by his son, Rabbi Aharon. The Shofar came to the Rebbe of Skwere – Tel Aviv from his holy father, Rabbi Moshe Dan, son of the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Skwere, son of the holy and famous Rebbe, Rabbi Itzik’l of Skwere, son of that holy and pure Tzaddik Yesod Olam, the Maggid of Chernobyl, son of the holy Rabbi Menachem Nochum, the “Me’or Einayim”. In the holy Sefer Me’or Einayim, in Parshas Toldos, he talks about the mitigation of Dinim that happens during the month of Tishrei through the sounding of the Shofar, as follows: “When the sound of the Shofar, the voice of Yaakov – the Middah of mercy is heard, this sweetens all the Gevuros, through the thoughts of Teshuva which the sound of the Shofar brings… are all encompassed in the Right, to worship Hashem, may He be blessed, in every way possible, and repent over the past; therefore all the sins are forgiven them and are turned into merits, as is known. And Hashem, may He be blessed, has a greater, doubled pleasure from that the sins become as merits… And all this comes through the voice of Yaakov, the voice of the Shofar, for through it comes the reason for mercy.” He also writes in Parshas Ha’azinu: “There is a world above that is called ‘Great Shofar’, the world of freedom.” And further on: “And this is the secret of the Tekios, that with the sound of this Shofar awakens the sound of the heavenly Shofar.” Many of the Tzaddikim of Chassidus refer to the main points of the Me’or Einayim regarding the blowing of the Shofar, such as the Tzemach Tzedek who writes: “As the Rebbe R’ Nochum OBM explained… the concept of annulment, for the Shofar casts fear.” The Shofar is approx. 36cm. long. At its top is a wavy crownlike design. Fairly narrow, and the bottom part is well-suited for blowing the Shofar in comfort. Very easy to blow, and is accepted as Kosher Lemehadrin. Detailed provenance documents. Very good condition, and, as stated, Kosher Lemehadrin.
