Wonderous and Holy! Page Handwritten by Maran the Holy Chofetz Chaim Describing the Sale of His Seforim and Their Prices - Rare and unique! No other like it! Page on which Maran the holy Chofetz Chaim wrote, in his holy handwriting, a price list for his holy and world-famous Seforim – the ‘Mishna Berurah’, ‘Chofetz Chaim’, ‘Shmiras Haloshon’, ‘Ahavas Chessed’ and ‘Shem Olam’. Maran the Chofetz Chaim writes, apparently to one of those who sold his Seforim on his behalf, or to someone who had already purchased one Sefer and wanted to know about the others, how much each volume of Mishna Berura will cost, as follows: 1.18 Mishna Berura v. I until Siman 127 bound. 1.18     “            “      v. II  “         “     242     “ And so on, each and every volume and their prices. After listing all the volumes of the Mishna Berura and noting the total of 6.94 he adds: ‘All parts together, will rest 6.50’ meaning that there will be a discount. For Rabbonim and Morei Tzedek the chofetz chim lists a %15 discount, based on his request and behest to sell the Seforim at a price that will be comfortable to Bnei Torah and Talmidei Chachomim, and as he released all rights to the sale of the Seforim leaving only a request that a certain amount of the revenue be given to Shuls. Unlined page, approx. 9 lines in the handwriting of the Kohen Gadol, Maran the Chofetz Chaim of Radin. Extremely rare. Stains. Additional notation in pencil: 25, as wel as an additional notation of the Chofetz Chaim: “Price of the Sefer 25 Kop.” Good-very-good condition.
