Zhitomir, 1848-1851. Set of all parts of Likutei Torah, the edition printed in the important and illustrious press of the holy brothers, Rabbi Chanina Lipa, Rabbi Aryeh Leib, and Rabbi Yehoshua Heshil Shapiro, the grandsons of the Rav of Slavuta, in Zhitomir, between 1848 and 1851. The original printings had title pages for Vayikra, Bamidbar, Devarim, and Shir HaShirim. This exemplar has three out of the four – for Bamidbar, Devarim, and Shir HaShirim. The title page for Vayikra is missing, as is the ast page of Shir HaShirim. The set includes the ma’amarim on Beshalach and Pekudei. 8, 50, [1], 96, [1], 100, 50 pp. Moisture stains. Moth holes. Old, damaged binding – not original. (On the flyleaf is a notation saying the rebinding was done in 1905). Almost-good condition.
