Letter of Condolences With Additions Handwritten by the Rebbe - letter from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, signed in his hand. Brooklyn, NY, 27 Tishrei, 5742 (Oct. 25, 1981). Typed on official letterhead of the Rebbe, signed in his hand and with his handwritten additions. Sent to the Etzion-Holzberg family of Yerushalayim, after the passing of Dr. Yitzchak Refael Halevi Etzion-Holzberg, a scion of the Solovechik family, an educator and activist in the “Mizrachi” movement, winner of the Israel Prize for Education. In the letter, the Rebbe expresses his condolences: “Heaven will comfort you… and from now and on only good and kindness will find you all the days”. At the end of the letter, before the signature, the Rebbe added in his own hand the word “Sincerely”.
