Passover Haggadah With Masterful Illustrations by Arthur Shick. Luxurious and Elegant Wood Case. - Passover Haggadah in Hebrew and English, with elaborate drawings and illustrations by Arthur Shick. Published by “Masada” and “Alumot”, Jerusalem, 1962. Covered in luxurious dark-blue velvet with an external wood box inlaid with the same dark blue velvet and covered in denim cloth. Both the Haggadah and the box are embossed with a Goblet of Eliyahu in gold foil, from the artist’s designs. Arthur Shick (1894-11951) was a Jewish-American artist. His painting style used bold, vibrant colors and a festive design. Became famous for having made the illustrations on the Israeli Declaration of Independence as well as having designed several significant postage stamps for the burgeoning State of Israel. Both the Haggadah and the case are in very good condition. Slight damage to the Haggadah and slight wear and abrasion on the case. Overall very good condition.
