Important Glosses - Shulchan Aruch Even Ha’ezer with commentary Chelkas Mechokek, by Rabbi Moshe Lima, Av Beis Din of Vilna and Brisk – Krakow, 1670 – first edition – with ancient Ashkenzic glosses from the late 1600’s. On pg. 12/a is an interesting gloss: “and most of our teachers are stringent about this, and say that whomever is lenient will not live out the year, and whomever is stringent will receive blessing. And so I saw in the manuscript of the Gaon, the Rosh Yeshiva of Brisk… who wrote his opinion of this to the Gaon [?]”. Incomplete exemplar. [2], 138 pp. Missing 2 last pages. 30cm.
