Exemplar Belonging to the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Shraga Feivel of Gritza - From the treasured Seforim of the holy Rabbi Shraga Feivel Danziger of Gritza (Grójec) – forebear of the Alexander dynasty – a Sefer which passed down to his grandson, the Gaon and renowned Tzaddik Rabbi Yisrael Nissan Kupferstich, author of responsa “Ani ben Pachma”. Responsa Beit Yosef on topics of Even Ha’ezer – Lemberg, 1811. On the front flyleaf is an ownership notation of the holy Rabbi Shraga Feivel of Grójec from the time he served in the rabbinate in Gąbin: “This Sefer belongs to the Rabbi, that great and sharp Gaon, holy light, the true Chossid, honored is his name, our teacher Feivel Danziger, Av Beis Din and Ra”m of Gąbin and the area”. Also on the front flyleaf are several ownership notations (possibly signatures) of his grandson, the author of responsa “Ani ben Pacham”: Yisrael Nissan Av Beis Din of Parshischa.” On the title page and on other pages is a stamp: “inheritance of the forefathers” . On the back flyleaf is a scribble: “the exalted, our teacher and Rabbi Yaakov Levish, son of our master”. The holy Gaon, Admor Rabbi Shraga Feivel Danziger (passed away on Oct. 19, 1848) of Grójec, one of the giants of Chassidus in Poland. Leader of the Vurka Chassidim after the passing of his Rebbe, the holy Rabbi Yitzchak of Vurka. Was the father of the holy Rabbi Yechiel Danziger  – the Alter Rebbe of Alexander, founder of the Alexander dynasty. He was a distinct disciple of Rabbi Yaakov of Lisa, author of “Netivot Hamishpat” and the “Chavot Da’at”. Due to the influence of his brother-in-law Rabbi Meir Chaim (nephew of the holy Rebbe of Berdichev) he was drawn to Chassidut and became a distinct disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin. After the passing of the Chozeh in 1815 he became a distinct disciple of his successor, Rabbi Simcha Bunem of Parshischa. In the fullness of time he also became related by marriage to him (his son, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak was a son-in-law of the Rebbe of Parshischa). He was one of the five disciples that were sent by Rabbi Bunem to the great wedding in Ustyluh to represent the Parshischa methodology. After the passing of Rabbi Bunem, he, together with Rabbi Yitzchak of Vurka, accepted his son, rabbi Avraham Moshe of Parshischa as their new Rebbe. After the passing of Rabbi Avraham Moshe a short time later, he became the leader of the Chassidim of the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Yitzchak of Vurka. After the passing of Rabbi Yitzchak in 1848he accepted the mantle of Admor, and of Shavu’ot of 1848 thousands of Vurka Chassidim arrived to his court in Makó. Over the years he served in the Rabbinate of several towns in Poland: in Sierpc, Grójec, Gumbin, and Makó. The ownership notation in the Sefer is from his time in Gumbin. The Gaon and Chassid Rabbi Yisrael Nissan Kupferstich (1858-1930) From the illustrious members of the grand Alexander community. One of the great Rabbis of Poland during the interwar years. Was a distinct disciple of the Rabbi of Kutna, author of “Yeshu’ot Malco” and confidant of the Rebbes of Vurka. His first marriage was to the granddaughter of the holy Rebbe, Rabbi Shraga Feivel of Gritza (Grójec). After his wedding his study partner was his wife’s uncle, the holy Rabbi Yechiel of Alexander. Served for many years in the Rabbinates of the oldest and most illustrious communities in Polad: in Parshischa, Rizan, and Makó. During the years 1892-1904 he served as Rabbi of Parshischa. In his last years, in 1924, he immigrated to Yerushalayim, where he served as the Rabbi of the Alexander Chassidim. In 1928 he published his Sefer “Responsa Ani ben Pachma”. [1], 39; 30 pp. 37cm.
