Brought to Print by the Holy Chozeh of Lublin – Tzon Kodashim, Lemberg, 1811 - Sefer Tzon Kodashim, Chiddushim on the tractates of Seder Kodashim, by Rabbi Avraham Chaim Schor, author of ‘Toras Chaim’ – Lemberg, 1811 – Sefer brought to print by the holy Chozeh of Lublin. On the title page is printed: “Brought to print as per the command of Admor, the great Gaon, hallowed candle, pious and ascetic, may his candle light , holy man of G-d, our master and Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Halevi Horowitz of Łańcut, who resides in Lublin”. On the reverse of the title page is a rare and unique approbation from the Chozeh of Lublin, wherein he discloses but a fraction of the work involved: “As is known since I was young I had a desire to make a Sefer of commentary on Seder Kodashim, for the greatness of the Mitzvah to deal with the Halachot of Kodashim is well-known… and Seder Kodashim is like a sealed book and is not properly proofread as other tractates which have editing and commentary of Maharshal and Maharsha and Maharam OBM, in it is probable that they didn’t deal deeply in Seder Kodashim with disciples since this was not as needed for the generations. And afterwards, when there came to me much public toil, the many needs of the multitudes, both in giving advice and in praying and supplicating and I was afraid to push them away since Hashem assisted me to perform good for Israel. Thus I myself became too occupied and incapable of making a commentary myself, and even for myself it was difficult since I did not have time to properly delve… and it is several years that I have beseeched several printers to print Sefer Tzon Kodashim…” Signature on the title page: “Wolf, son of R’ Meir”.
