“the Holy Words of the Chumash” – the Chumash Used Consistently by the Holy Tzaddik, Wonder of the Generation, Rabbi Itzik’l of Pshevorsk For Many Years - The Bamidbar Chumash of the holy Rabbi Itzik’l of Pshevorsk! A holy and exalted item, extremely rare: the Chumash of that lofty Tzaddik, Rabbi Moshe Yitzchak of Pshevorst – “Reb Itzik’l” – in which he learned for dozens of years, was ma’avir sedra in it, and used it during leinig in shul. The Rebbe Reb Itzik’l would often speak of the good influences that the actual words of the Chumash bring: “As the holy Rebbe of Apt said, that in the Chumash itself there is an entire marketplace in heaven of stores of gold, silver, and copper in these words in Parshas Teruma”, and in other places along the same vein. Vilna, 1812 edition, Printhouse of R’ Avraham Kahana in Warsaw, Nalevky 39. On the title page is his handwritten ownership notation: “The earth and all that is in it is to Hashem, Moshe Yitzchak Gewurtzmann of Preshevorsk” –the full spelling “Preshevorsk” is rarely found in the writings of the holy Reb Itzik’l. He only used it in his younger years. This Chumash was by him for many decades. In this holy Chumash he studied, was ma’avir sedra, followed the leining in shul, and kept it at his side when he spoke and told the wonderous stories of bygone Tzaddikim.
