Iggeres Kodesh from the Lubavitcher Rebbe – Regarding a Lengthy Engagement - Letter of guidance and encouragement from C”K Admor of Lubavitch with his signature – sent to the wonderous Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Yehuda Zerachia Segal, Rabbi of the Kiryat Shalom neighborhood in Tel Aviv – Shevat, 1956. “The sages are not happy with a long pause before a wedding”. Further on in the letter the Rebbe continues and writes: “That which he wrote regarding a way “how to receive an awakening from below”, these words are an oxymoron from start to finish, because an awakening from below needs to come from below, as that is its essence, and not to be received from above.” Further on the Rebbe notes various sources from the Seforim of Chabad which deal with awakening the heart to repent.
