Pinsk, 1929. “Hashem shall come to your assistance to strengthen His holy Torah” – a postcard handwritten and signed by Rabbi Aharon Walkin. Pinsk, 1929. The immense Gaon Rabbi Aharon Walkin of Pinsk, author of “Zkan Aharon” HY”D (1865-1942) – from the great Poskim who rose in Lithuania during the inter-war period/ student of the Volozhin Yeshiva, he lit up the world with his Torah, and many Gedolim sent him their halachic questions – among them the Gaon Rav Chaim Ozer of Vilna and the Imrei Emes of Ger. He was one of the founders of Agudas Yisroel in Lithuania and worked greatly through it for the nation. Served in several locations before becoming Rav of Pinsk, for which he is most known. 10x15cm.
