“and You Shall See It and Be Holy” – Tallis Katan with the Tzitzis Strings of Maran Sar Hatorah Rav Chaim Kanievsky - Hallowed and exalted: a Talis Kattan upon which are tied the Tzitzis fringes used by Maran, Sar Hatorah, Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, which he kissed and constantly held during Davening, studying, and in which he constantly kept the admonishment “A Tzaddik keeps his Tzitzis fringes apart at all times”. Unique! A Talis Kattan made of cotton upon which are tied the special and hallowed Tzitzis strings of Maran Sar Hatorah Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, whi did as he spoke. The power of diligence and phenomenal memory which Maran Rav Chaim Kanievsky had was extremely exalted. The verses said regarding the Tzitzis “And you shall be holy – and remember” were literally seen by him. The Mitzvah of Tzitzis held a very important and exalted place by Maran, as can be seen in the thousands of his responses which he wrote regarding this special Mitzvah and all that surrounds it. The Sefer “Da’as Notah” dedicated several sections to the Mitzvah of Tzitzis and to the Halachic responsa that Maran Rav Chaim had sent out. Maran had gone over that Sefer and approved it. One of Maran’s first works was “Tractate Tzitzis”, one of the “Miniature Tractates” on which Maran Rav Chaim wrote his great works. This item is enclosed with a photographed confirmation handwritten by Maran’s grandson. Words cannot adequately describe the significance of these Tzitzis fringes, holy and pure from their simple existence, made even more hallowed and sacred by his holy hands. These are the strings Maran held over his eyes, held in his fingers as he delved into his deep studies, and kept the saying “A Tzaddik keeps his Tzitzis fringes separate at all times”. The fringes are in very good condition. They are well-preserved and complete in holiness and purity, despite the visible extensive usage. Very good condition.
