Postcard from the Great Gaon Author of “Afikei Yam”. from the Giants of Torah in Lithuania - Letter sent by the great Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Michel Rabinowitz, the Rav of Szczecin and author of “Afikei Yam”, one of the most significant disseminators of Torah in Lithuania during the inter-war period. 1926. The letter was sent to his close friend Rabbi Yosef Shub, general secretary and administrator of Va’ad Hayeshivos, confidant of Maran Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky of Vilna. In the letter, the author deals with different methods of increasing the Lithuanian Jews’ charitable support of vaad ahyeshivos, by sending appropriate Rabbonim to speakin support of strengtheningtorah and to collect money for the Yeshiva Bochurim.
