Letter on Supporting Torah from the Gaon Rabbi Naftali Teitelbaum of Brigel Williamsburg - Letter regarding charity and support of Torah, handwritten by the Gaon Rabbi Naftali Teitelbaum, son of the holy Gaon Rabbi Menashe of Brzesko (Brigel). New York, 1973. Handwritten and signed letter, in which he writes that he sent a hefty sum of one hundred Dollars, to be distributed to the needy and to Torah scholars in the Holy Land. The letter was sent to the Rabbonim Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Epstein and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Monderer. The letterhead states: “Rabbi Naftali Teitelbaum, son of the holy Gaon of Brigel OBM, grandson of the holy Gaon of Ropshitz OBM, and grandson of the holy Gaon of Újhely, and great-grandson of the holy Gaon of Sanz OBM”. Rabbi Naftali was the son pf the Tzaddik Rabbi Menashe and the righteous Rebbetzin Mrs. Chana, daughter of the holy Gaon Rabbi Chaim Teitelbaum of Brigel. Rabbi Menashe took inherited the position from his father-in-law, Rabbi Tuvya, son of the holy Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Zalman Yehonatan of Brigel, son of the immense Tzaddik and Gaon, the “Ari D’bei Ila’ei”. Rabbi Naftali married the righteous Rebbetzin, daughter of Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Lipschutz-Halberstam, granddaughter of the holy Gaon, Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz. [1] letterhead. Torn filing holes.
