Torah Mantle – 150 Years Old! - Torah mantle, hand-embroidered. Apparently eastern Europe, 1876. “ This is the donation of the woman Mrs. Chana Grinoier, may she live, year 536 SC (1876)” 3-dimentional embroidery of a Torah crown. Red velvet and gold thread. The cloth is surrounded by a frame, which is frayed and partially missing. There is a possibility that the entire backing cloth sewn to the velvet piece is a later restoration . Overall good condition.
