Levov (Lemberg), 1862 Sefer “Imrei Bina” is one of the most significant and deep compositions in the teachings of Chabad Chassidus, written by c”k Admor, the Mitteler Rebbe, the son and successor of the Alter Rebbe, the Ba’al Hatanya. The Sefer includes sections on Kri’as Shma, Tzitzis, and Tefillin, in which the topic of “the singularity of Hashem” is specially discussed at length, based on the teachings of Chassidus in the unique style of the Mitteler Rebbe. On the title page is written “As printed in Kopust”, which refers to the first edition which was printed in Kopust, 1821. The Rebbe Rayatz told that in the summer of 1895 his father, the Rebbe Rashab spoke much about the teachings of Chassidus, and said “The teachings of Chassidus is immensely wide and deep, great wisdom and deep thoughts. When I studied the writings of the Alter Rebbe and the Mitteler Rebbe, especially the Sefer Imrei Bina, the hair of my head fell off from straining the brain for many hours in deep thoughts”. Written on the title page, among other notations, is “Belongs to the Rabbinical, the great merchant, Gershon Zak”. 24cm. Original binding. 2 beginning pages detached. Title page with slight tears on bottom. Light moth markings on some pages. Overall good condition.
