Letter of the Holy Rabbi Yosef Tzvi of Skierniewice - Letter from the holy Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Kalisz of Skierniewice, Chief Rabbi of Bnei Berak, regarding the Vurka Chassidim’s shul in Haifa. 1956. In the letter, which is fully handwritten and signed by him, the Rebbe writes to Rabbi Meir Yehuda Abramowitz, deputy mayor of Tel Aviv, asking that he become involved in the dispute between the Chinuch atzma’I school in Haifa and the “Achim VeRe’im” Shteibel which was next to it. The Rebbe notes that he is involved in the dispute as most of the congregants there are Chassidim of the Vurka and Skierniewice courts, and he wishes that the Shul’s name be amended to include “of the Vurka and Skierniewice Chassidim”.
