Mystical Secrets in the Hallowed Handwriting of Rabbi Mendel of Shklow, Disciple of the Gr”a - “A place which bestows all the lights in the heavenly firmament” – a folio of hidden teachings, handwritten by the holy Gaon Rabbi Mendel of Shklow, the great disciple of Rabbeinu the Gaon Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilna, the Gr”A. Two pages of elucidation on the teachings of the occult and the hidden Torah, mystical secrets of hidden and revealed studies, in the hallowed handwriting of the holy Gaon, the Mekubal Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Shklow, from the greatest disciples of Rabbeinu, the immense Gaon, the Gr”A. “The secret of hugging and kissing. Hugging with the hands, the secret of Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, and the kissing with the mouth, secret of Chochma and Binah, thought and the world to be”. The Gaon, the Kabbalistic Tzaddik Rabbi Menachem Mendel, son of Rabbi Baruch Bendit Ashkenazi of Shklow (passed away Feb. 27, 1827) – a Rabbi, Mekubal, and prolific author. Starting in 1796 he became a devoted, beloved, and close disciple of the Gr”a, who taught him the depths of the Torah, both the revealed and the occult. Was one of the editors of the Gr”a’s Seforim, and recorded the mannerisms and customs of his great Rebbi. In 1808 he led the “Immigration of the Disciples of the Gr”A” to eretz Yisrael, headed the community of the Gr”a’s disciples in the holy city of Tzfas, and renewed the Ashkenazi settlement in Yerushalayim. Was buried in the cemetery on the Mount of Olives near to the resting place of Rabbeinu the holy “Or Hachaim”, and was eulogized by the Chassam Sofer. Good condition.
