Manuscript with Chidushei Torah by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef of Zabrov - Manuscript, pamphlets of Chiddushim from the early years of the 5600s – including Chiddushim on the Talmudic topics by the holy Rabbi Yosef Charif of Zbarazov, one of the prominent students of the ”Choze” of Lublin and the ”Sar Shalom” of Belz. We have before us 24 written pages, containing Chiddushim on Baba Metzia written by a student. Several of the pages contain Chiddushim ”in the name of the Gaon Rabbi Yosef of Zbarazov.” Some pages contain Chiddushim ”in the name of the Rabbi, the renowned Gaon, Rabbi Simcha, Av Beit Din of Klassni.” Among the pages is also a responsa (unknown author) regarding the sale of a firstborn animal. All the pages are written in the same handwriting. Some pages contain annotations and additions in another handwriting from a later time. The holy Rabbi Yosef Charif of Zbarazov was one of the prominent students of the ”Choze” of Lublin and the holy Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Rimanov. After the passing of the ”Choze, ” he traveled with his students to the ”Sar Shalom” of Belz, despite being much older than him. He corresponded with the ”Chatam Sofer.” He was the father-in-law of Rabbi Elikim Weiss – father-in-law of the author of the ”Ktav Sofer.” [12] Pages (24 written pages). 21 cm. Stains and wear.
