Author's handwritten dedication by Maran, the author of Kli Chemda, as follows: “As a token of love to the esteemed, exalted man, the great Torah scholar, the honored rabbi R. Pinchas Yisroel an expert physician , ... from the author Meir Dan Raphael ben Rabbi Yechiel.” On the title page, the author's stamp: “Meir Dan ben R. Yechiel Plocki, Av Beit Din of the holy community of Dvohart.” On the second leaf, the stamp of the recipient, Dr. Bornstein. [3], 147, [1], 10 leaves. Overall good to fair condition, dry paper, stains. Original binding. The great Gaon Rabbi Meir Dan Raphael Plocki [1866–1928]—one of the Torah giants of Poland. Served as Av Beit Din in the cities of Dvohart (Warta) and Ostrow Mazowiecka. Author of Kli Chemda on the Torah, founding member of Agudath Israel in Poland, member of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah, and a Chassid of the Sfas Emes and Imrei Emes of Gur. Disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Elazar Wachs and his father-in-law Rabbi Yisrael Yehoshua of Kutna, and foremost student of the holy Gaon the Avnei Nezer of Sochatchov.
