The Rebbe Rabbi Yitzchak Mordechai Shapira (1867–1930), Rebbe of Gwodzhitz. Born in Sadigura to his father Rabbi Avi Ezra Zelig Shapira, son of the Seraph Rabbi Chaim Meir Yechiel Shapira of Mogelnitz—one of the foremost Polish Rebbes of his generation. His mother, the righteous Rebbetzin Mrs. Hadasa Feiga, was the daughter of the holy Rabbi Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura. After the passing of his father, Rabbi Yitzchak Mordechai assumed the rabbinate in Gwodzhitz, Galicia. His son, Rabbi Shalom Yosef Shapira, was the son-in-law of Rabbi Yerachmiel Moshe of Kozhnitz and one of the founders of Kfar Chassidim and Kiryat Ata. Stefansky Chassidut 385. [2], 5-40 pages.
