Kuzari with the commentary Kol Yehuda, Venice 1594 – an elegant exampler - Sefer HaKuzari by Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi, with the commentary Kol Yehuda by Rabbi Yehuda Moscato. This commentary, Kol Yehuda, was authored by the Gaon Rabbi Yehuda Moscato (also author of Nefutzot Yehuda) and is the first commentary ever printed on Sefer HaKuzari. Sefer HaKuzari is one of the foundational texts of Jewish philosophy—among the most important and well-known in Jewish thought. The commentary Kol Yehuda is among the most prominent and comprehensive interpretations of the Sefer. The Sefer Yuchasin writes: “In the year 4,500, the matter of the King of the Khazars took place, in which he held a debate and investigation with three sages: a Christian, a Muslim, and a Jew. He converted along with all his ministers and servants, and he composed this esteemed Sefer, unparalleled, called Sefer HaKuzari, on matters of faith, authored by Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi.” Stefansky, Sifrei Yesod, in the notes to entry no. 495.
