With 64 rare and impressive woodcut illustrations. *Sefer Yosippon – The historical chronicle of the Jewish people, beginning with the creation of the world and Adam HaRishon, the Babylonian kingdom, the chronicles and wars of Alexander the Great, and the wars of the Jews and Romans until the destruction of the Temple. Authored by Yosef ben Gurion HaKohen. [4], 244 pages. *She’erit Yisrael – the second part of Sefer Yosippon – a continuation detailing the history of the Jewish people in Yiddish, from the destruction of the Temple up to the days of the author, Rabbi Menachem HaLevi Elmender. This is considered the second part of Yosippon and titled “Yosippon Part II.” This is the first edition of She’erit Yisrael, a widely beloved work printed in more than 20 editions. [4], 148 pages. Both parts contain the approbation of Rabbi Aryeh Leib, Av Beit Din of Amsterdam, the son-in-law of the Chacham Tzvi and father of Rabbi Shaul of Amsterdam.
