A letter from the Rebbe of Chernobyl in which he announces the engagement of his son, the Rebbe from the USA. - A letter in the handwriting of the Rebbe Rabbi Zusha of Chernobyl, in which he announces the engagement of his son, the Admor of Chernobyl USA, and extends many sacred blessings. Bnei Brak, 1965. An air letter written in the holy handwriting of the Rebbe Rabbi Meshulam Zusia of Chernobyl-Loiev, with many blessings to those assisting in charitable matters to help him with the wedding of his son, the Rebbe of Chernobyl USA. 1965. The letter is addressed to the esteemed holiness of the Rebbe Rabbi Shalom Yechezkel Shraga of Tsheshenov, a relative of the Chernobyl Rebbe and son of the Rebbe Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Rubin of Tomaszów. Rabbi Shalom Yechezkel Shraga was the brother-in-law of the Rebbe of Bobov, who was the son-in-law of the Rebbe of Tomaszów. In his letter the Chernobyl Rebbe writes: “I hereby announce the good news that I have come to a match for my son, the outstanding young man Yeshaya, with the daughter of Rabbi Shalom Michelowitz... May Hashem help that it be in a good and successful time, a lasting bond to the glory and merit of our holy forefathers OBM. As the needs for the wedding are many, and especially the residence which is very costly, and I have no means for this…” The holy Rebbe Rabbi Meshulam Zusia Twersky of Chernobyl-Loiev (1910–1988), the first in the Chernobyl dynasty after the Holocaust, a direct descendant of the Chernobyl and Loiev lines, grandson of the holy Rabbi Yeshaya of Tshakhoyv, was raised and educated under his guidance. He escaped the Holocaust by divine mercy and immigrated to the Land of Israel. In Jerusalem and later in Bnei Brak he established his Beit Midrash, where many admirers of the holy courts of Chernobyl and Sanz gathered. He was known for the power of his prayer and his great humility. His eldest son-in-law is the Admor Rabbi Yisroel of Vizhnitz. [1] Air letter paper, written and signed in his handwriting.
