On one side is a letter to his disciple “Moreinu HaRav David” who was deeply burdened by debts. His Rebbe strengthens his spirit, urging him to accept suffering with love: “And I will give you a piece of advice — go to the Western Wall at least twice a week and complete the entire Tehillim there, and pour out your supplication to Hashem with tears, that He should not cast you away from before Him and forgive your sins, so that you won’t have to travel abroad again.” Most of this letter was published in Mevakshai Emunah, vol. IV, p. 32. On the reverse side, Reb Aharaleh writes a letter of encouragement to his disciple “Moreinu HaRav Avraham Greuiman, ” advising him regarding livelihood — that he should try to find a source of income, but not a large business that brings many worries and disturbances from serving Hashem: “So that you do not lose your essence.” This second letter, as far as known, has never been published.
