Letter from the Great Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer Regarding the Sending of Sefarim and a Sefer Soon to Be Published. In the letter, Rabbi Isser Zalman mentions the husband of his sister-in-law, ” the Gaon Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak Ruderman , Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Baltimore” – founder and Rosh Yeshiva of ”Ner Yisroel” in Baltimore and member of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah in the United States. Apparently unpublished. The great Gaon Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer (1870–1953) – student of the famed Volozhin Yeshiva under the Netziv and Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik, Rav of Slutsk and Rosh Yeshiva there, later Rosh Yeshiva of ”Etz Chaim” in Jerusalem and President of the Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah. One of the greatest Torah giants of his generation. Authored Even HaEzel, seven volumes on Mishneh Torah of the Rambam, which became fundamental sefarim in the world of yeshiva scholarship.
