In the body of the proclamation it is written: ”Trembling has seized us due to the grave condition of the elder of the Roshei Yeshiva, among the last of the Great Assembly, a Torah scroll in distress — Maran the great Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Dovid HaLevi (son of Alte Hendel) Soloveitchik, shlita, Rosh Yeshiva of Brisk.” It concludes: “The public is requested in every place to plead in prayer and supplication before the Rofei Kol Basar for his complete recovery among the other ill of Israel. And may Hashem hear our outcry.” The Elder of the Roshei Yeshiva, the Gaon Rabbi Meshulam Dovid HaLevi Soloveitchik, son of the Brisker Rav (1921–2021), ascended to the Land of Israel with his father in 1941 during World War II and married the daughter of the Gaon Rabbi Asher Sternbuch of London. In 1961, he founded his Yeshiva, which became a beacon of Torah for generations. Very good condition.
