Kamenitz, 1936 “May Hashem give you all good and fulfill all the wishes of your heart for the good.” A letter of blessing, entirely written in Yiddish, with an additional line of blessing and signature by Maran, the great Gaon Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz, author of Birkat Shmuel, addressed to the activists supporting the Yeshiva through R. A letter typed on a typewriter, with one line in his holy handwriting and his signature, together with his stamp. The Gaon Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz (1870–1940) was one of the greatest Roshei Yeshiva and disseminators of Torah in his generation. He was considered the foremost disciple of Rabbi Chaim Halevi of Brisk. He served as Rosh Yeshiva of Knesset Beit Yitzchak in Slabodka, which later moved to Vilna and then to Kamenitz. He was renowned for his holiness and righteousness alongside his immense genius. His lectures were legendary throughout Lithuania and Poland, and the greatest students from all corners came to hear his shiurim, delivered with fiery enthusiasm, depth of analysis, and in the method of his eminent teacher, Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik. He authored the series Birkat Shmuel, which remain among the foundational works of yeshiva study until today. Fold marks, stains, tears and repairs, defect to one corner of the leaf.
