Interesting letter from the Gaon Tzaddik Rabbi Yisrael Freund, Av Beit Din of Hunyad (father of the Gaavad Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund) – Hunyad, Sivan 1935. An interesting letter, entirely in the handwriting and with the signature of the Gaon Tzaddik Rabbi Yisrael Freund, Av Beit Din of Hunyad and father of Mara D’Ara Kaddisha Maran Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund, confirming a fictitious marriage registration. The letter was written on “Monday, Parashat Shlach, 1935” and sent to Eretz HaKodesh. In his letter, Rabbi Yisrael testifies that Fruma Deutsch had only registered herself in the civil courts as married, since at that time anyone wishing to immigrate to Eretz Yisrael was required to register as a married couple. However, Rabbi Yisrael attests that the young woman mentioned in the letter was not married Al Pi Daat Moshe v’Yisrael, but only through fictitious registration in the courts in order to obtain a certificate.
