Masaches Sotah – Basel (Basilea) 1579 – Fine Copy! The volumes of the Talmud Bavli from the Basilea edition were printed between the years 1578–1581. This edition incorporated the Chiddushim added in the Venice edition, along with additional enhancements. However, this edition also includes many significant distortions imposed by the Christian censors (in this edition, Tractate Avodah Zarah was not printed at all). The last ten pages include the Rambam’s commentary on the Mishnayot. 55 leaves. 32 cm. Good condition. Water stains on the title page and several leaves. Newly bound.
