Manuscript – Discourse in the Style of “Midrash Kesubah” in the Handwriting of the Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky – Written Between 1932–1940 – Eight Large Pages – Never Printed Mentions his teacher, “Maran Admor HaGaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop shlit”a”, as well as “HaGaon Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman shlit”a.” In this manuscript, on page 2, Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky references his teacher Rabbi Shimon Shkop: “According to what Maran Admor HaGaon R. Sh.S. shlit”a wrote in his sefer Sha’arei Yosher.” (Rabbi Shimon Shkop passed away 9 Cheshvan 1939. His Sha’arei Yosher was first printed in 1928.) On page 3, he references Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman: “And when I reviewed the sefer Kovetz He’aros by HaGaon R. A. Wasserman shlit”a, I saw that he also wrote…” (Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman was murdered on 11 Tammuz 1941. His Kovetz He’aros was first printed in 1932.) The great Gaon Rabbi Shmuel Rozovsky (1913–1979), Rosh Yeshivas Ponevezh and one of the foremost disseminators of Torah in the last generation. He primarily acquired his Torah from his eminent teacher, Rabbi Shimon Shkop, at Yeshivas Sha’ar HaTorah. After immigrating to Eretz Yisrael, he studied under Rabbi Reuven Katz at the Petach Tikva Yeshiva and also with the Brisker Rav. From 1944 until his passing, he served as Rosh Yeshivas Ponevezh. His shiurim klali’im were renowned for their clarity and unique style, drawing a wide and diverse audience of learners. 7 leaves. Fair to good condition. Stains and wear. Folding marks.
