The holy Gaon, Mara D’Ara Kaddisha Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Freund (1904–1996) – Gaavad of Jerusalem and the Eidah HaChareidis, Rosh Yeshivat Satmar in Jerusalem, grandson of the Av Beit Din of Hunyad. A holy and exalted Chassid, miracle worker whose blessings were widely sought. Before the Holocaust, he served as rabbi in the towns of Naszód and Răgna, and as dayan in the city of Satmar. He endured the horrors of the Holocaust with faith and greatness of spirit. The tzaddikim of the generation spoke exceedingly of his stature. Half-leather binding, defective. Stains. Good condition.
