מכתבים רבי אלחנן ווסרמן - Two letters in the handwriting of the righteous Gaon Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman HY”D – Nisan 1937. 1. A request to the Vaad HaYeshivot to grant one hundred zloty to the wife of the Gaon Rabbi David Rappaport, author of Tzemach David (Rosh Metivta in the ”Ohel Torah” yeshiva in Baranovitch), who is traveling for medical purposes, “on account of our yeshiva.” At the end of the letter appears a blessing: ”המברכם בחיים ושלום וכל טוב סלה”. Concludes with his holy handwritten signature. Written on official letterhead of Metivta Rabta ‘Ohel Torah’ Baranovitch (Poland) – Rosh Metivta and Director Rabbi Elchanan Bunem Wasserman. 22 cm. Condition: good–fair. Folding marks. 2. Receipt in the handwriting of Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman for the sum of 20 pounds sterling, containing several technical details regarding ties between the Vaad HaYeshivot and activists in England. At the end, Rabbi Elchanan Wasserman adds: “Perhaps it is worthwhile to write also to Mr. Aharon – Harry – Goodman, head of the Agudah in London, for he and his father, according to reports, are very wealthy.” The letter is undated.
