Siddur Tehilat Hashem – Chabad – Brooklyn edition, 1945 – the personal Siddur of the kabbalist, the righteous Gaon Rabbi Yeshayah Asher Zelig Margulies. At the beginning of the Siddur is a handwritten certification by his grandson, Rabbi Yaakov Tzvi Chanon, stating:  אני הח”מ מאשר בזה שהסידור הזה הי' שייך למו”ז החסיד המקובל מו”ה ישעי' אשר זעליג מרגליות זצ”ל והתפלל בו במשך שנים רבות The Siddur is worn from heavy use and is filled with wine stains from Kiddush, Havdalah, and the like. The righteous Gaon Rabbi Yeshayah Asher Zelig Margulies [1893–1969] – known as the Riyaz – a noted kabbalist and one of the foremost leaders of the Kana’im in Jerusalem, among the Nekiyei HaDaas of the city. He studied in the Torat Emet – Lubavitch Yeshiva in Hebron and became very close to the tzaddikim of Jerusalem: the holy Rabbi Avraham Simcha Horowitz of Barnov, the kabbalist Rabbi Chaim Shaul HaKohen Dwek, and the Saba Kadisha Rabbi Shlomo Eliezer Alfandari. He was deeply bound to Meron and Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, and authored several works connected to him. Rabbi Yeshayah Asher Zelig was one of the great fighters against the innovators and the Zionists, and remains renowned for his activities until today. 190 leaves. 22 cm. Fair condition.
